GEPOFLEX® is our oldest brand name – and the one everything started with. In 1974 the first book bound with GEPOFLEX hot melt adhesive was published. At the time a genuine innovation in paperback production, today the basis of a whole family of thermoplastic elastomers.
Thermoplastic elastomers have been our strength ever since. They combine the elasticity of rubber with the processability of thermoplastics: melt, apply, let solidify – no vulcanisation, no pot life, no curing time.
In filtration and screening, GEPOFLEX® is an established name. This is where properties matter that rarely come together: the material has to flow and wet cleanly, seal reliably, stay permanently elastic and withstand the media that will later pass through it.
There is an economic advantage as well: because thermoplastic elastomers do not need to cure, the waiting time disappears from your process. The part moves on as soon as the material has solidified.
GEPOFLEX® is straightforward to apply and designed for reproducible results in series production.
GEPOFLEX® – thermoplastic elastomers
Our TPE compounds for filters, screens and technical applications. Adjusted to the hardness, flow behaviour and media resistance your application requires.
GEPOFLEX® SE – surface and flow improver
Silicone-free processing aid for plastics and rubber compounds. Lubricates and releases, creates a slip film, improves surface quality and increases flowability – particularly proven with PE, PP, XPE as well as rubber and rubber compounds.
A TPE is not a finished product off the shelf but a formulation. Hardness, flow behaviour, temperature resistance and media compatibility can be adjusted within wide limits – and they influence one another.
That has been our work since 1971: we adjust the material to your application instead of selling you a standard grade that fits 80 per cent of it.
For a first conversation it helps to know what the material has to achieve: the hardness you need, the service temperature, media contact, your processing method and where in the part it sits.
Describe your application to us. You will get an assessment of which formulation is worth considering, technical information on the recommended grade and, on request, a trial sample to test yourself.
